The boards are made from South American walnut, so no two share the same grain. The wood is kind to your knife's edge, and the board is sturdy enough for veg, roasts and a cheese board. It comes lightly treated, so oil it now and then.

How do I care for the wood?

Wash it by hand and let it dry. Now and then, give it a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil or chopping board oil, let it soak in and wipe off the excess. Avoid ordinary cooking oil, as it can go rancid.

Can I serve on the board too?

Yes. The board is made for both prepping and serving. Chop veg, carve the roast, or put cheese and cold cuts on the table straight on the board. Walnut is kind to the knife's edge, so your knives stay sharp longer.

Can I use an ordinary knife sharpener?

Yes, the plain-edged knives in both ranges can be sharpened at 13° per side, or 26° when both sides are sharpened at once. The ceramic-steel knives are harder and take a little longer. The bread knife has a serrated edge and shouldn't go in an ordinary sharpener.

What's the best way to wash the knives?

Wash them by hand in warm water with a little soap and a soft sponge, and dry them straight away. Don't leave them in the sink, where they can knock against other things. That way both edge and handle stay looking good the longest.

How long is the warranty?

There's a 2-year warranty, and it covers both the product's shape and structure. If a fault appears, make a claim through our claims portal. Describe the fault and attach a photo or video, and we'll get back to you by email.
